there are two ways for people in collages using proxy:
1st way is to set up ur utorrent software:
Go to Preferences->Connection put proxy server settings as HTTP and proxy and port as shown in the pic:-
and last thing is go to Preferences->BitTorrent change outgoing encryption to "forced" thats it, it should work now if not use 2nd method.
2nd way is to download the file as http direct link:-
Torrents are the simplest way to download any thing u want and i think every one knows about it already. They are the main source to find and download almost anything from the internet. The problem in most colleges and offices is that torrent is blocked!! and also due to other causes like firewall etc OR the downloading speed is low due to low seeds or whatever.
But now there are ways u can download torrent files like normal download from https link.This means, you literally need no torrent clients or p2p clients running in the background, hogging your resources and u dont need to care about seeds or peers.
I personally use http://zbigz.com/. there are some other sites too but i have tested this and have been using it from the last three months or so.Torrent file is queued and downloaded to their server using your server space, And Then You Can download torrents via HTTP Directlinks to your computer.
